Newport 375th Anniversary Day Parade

Join us to help celebrate the 375th Anniversary of beautiful Newport, Rhode Island. Either join us there, or meet us at HQ at 10 AM and we’ll go together!

The parade goes from One Mile Corner to Washington Square . The parade starts at 11:00am. Some of the groups will also use the sidewalk area in front of Jesus Savior etc. to step off. The review stand will be at Washington Square. Whatever is provided for a write up will be what we give the announcer if we have one. After the parade there is a community cookout at the Quaker Meeting house on Marlborough Street. There is plenty of room on Broadway to line up no worries.

The parade will start at 11:00 am at the One Mile Corner. It will proceed south on Broadway to Washington Square. We are asking groups to get there no later than 10:00am. We are asking groups to get there no later than 10:00am.

Broadway will be no parking so we are going to use both sides to line up as well as some side streets. There will be about eight parade marshals at the lineup to help.

We will have about 40 – 50 groups. Some of the groups will also use the sidewalk are in front of Jesus Savior etc. to step off. The review stand will be at Washington Square.

Community Cookout – Following the parade there will be a community cookout at approximately 1 pm.
Festivities will take place on the front of the Friends Meeting House [Corner of Marlborough and Farewell Streets.
Come join your neighbors for a hot dog and a special treat from Ben & Jerry’s.
